Bournemouth Airport is 4 miles outside the city centre. It mainly offers flights to Europe, with a few seasonal services going further afield. In 2008 it was voted the best airport in the UK by readers of the Daily Telegraph.
Growing numbers of passengers are choosing to use regional airports, and Bournemouth Airport is well placed to take advantage of this. The journey time from the M25 can be as little as an hour and a quarter. There are long and short stay car parks located a few minutes' walk from the terminals, with prices varying according to how long you would like to leave the car.
The nearest train station is in Bournemouth city centre. A bus runs between the airport and the city centre once an hour, between 7 am and 7 pm and takes 15 minutes.
The short stay car park is adjacent to the terminal and is aimed at those dropping off or picking up passengers. There are 2 long stay car parks, both a few minutes’ walk from the terminal. They are quite expensive and there is a minimum 2 day charge. You can get cheaper prices by pre-booking in advance online. There are a couple of off site car parks near Bournemouth Airport. Prices at these facilities are lower and they offer courtesy transport to the terminal.
