Liverpool John Lennon Airport is 7 miles outside the city of Liverpool.  It offers flights to destinations around the world.  Most of the flights are operated by low-cost airlines.

The nearest train station is Liverpool South Parkway.  An express bus runs from there to the airport every 20 minutes during the day, Monday to Saturday, and the journey takes 10 minutes.

For those arriving in their own vehicle, there are several car parks, designed for short, mid and long term stays.  Prices vary, so check the airport’s website for details. 

Liverpool Airport Parking

There is a Drop Off area opposite the terminal building which is free for the first 10 minutes.  The Premium Car Park is the closest to the terminal and the most expensive option.  It is less than a minute’s walk away and has its own dedicated entry and exit routes to avoid traffic.  It is only available by pre-booking.  The Short Stay & Pick Up is a multi-storey, undercover car park directly opposite the terminal. The Mid Stay car park is 3-4 minutes’ walk away.  It is suitable for stays of up to 4 days and must be booked in advance.  The Long Stay car park is a bit cheaper and further away from the terminal – 4-5 minutes’ walk.  The Pricebuster Long Stay car park is the least expensive option.  It is 6-7 minutes away from check-in.  It is only available by pre-booking and cannot be amended or cancelled.
 
Regular airport users can buy a season ticket for their chosen car park.  You can save up to 55% on the on-site car parks by booking in advance online, but the charges are still very high.  For this reason, a number of off-site car parks have been established, and could offer better value for money, depending on your priorities.  Obviously, you have a bit further to travel, but they offer courtesy transport to and from the airport, whereas you have to walk from the on-site car parks to the terminal building.  Some companies even offer a meet and greet service.  This means a driver will collect your car outside the terminal and take it away to the off-site car park.  The vehicle will be brought back and waiting for you outside the terminal on your return.
