London Luton is the fourth largest airport in the city. It is a busy hub for low cost carriers and charter airlines. It also has a large variety of business jets passing through.
The nearest train station is Luton Airport Parkway. Trains run to and from St Pancras in the centre of London and can take up to 45 minutes. There are regular services throughout the day, but trains run less frequently between 1 and 6 am. There is a shuttle bus to take you from the station to the terminal building; this is a 5 minute journey.
If you'd like to take a bus from central London, you can use the 24 hour services to and from Victoria Station. The journey takes about an hour and 20 minutes and you will be dropped directly at the terminal.
If you are arriving by car, there are a number of car parking options onsite. However, you might find it more convenient to book into a hotel with a holiday parking deal and a transfer service to the airport. This could even work out cheaper overall than booking into the airport car park.
Top tip: Remember that the railway station for Luton Airport is not inside the terminal. If you buy a through ticket to Luton Airport, the shuttle bus to the terminal will be included in the price.
Priority Parking at Luton is a meet and greet service. This means you drop your car outside the terminal, and a member of staff parks your car for you in the Short Term Car Park. Your car will then be waiting outside the terminal again when you return. It is less expensive to park the vehicle by yourself in the Short Term Car Park, and you can save up to 50% by booking in advance online. This car park is a few minutes from the terminal. There is free parking for up to an hour in the Mid Term Car Park for dropping off and picking up passengers. The terminal is 2 minutes away by courtesy shuttle bus. For longer stays, you can save money by pre-booking. You would be advised to do this, as these car parks are extremely expensive. Long Term Parking is better value for money. The car park is 10 minutes away from the terminal via shuttle bus.
Alternatively, you could try one of the off site car parks. They are further away but offer courtesy transport to the terminal, and you could find a better deal. There are a few to choose from and a couple of them also offer a meet and greet service.
This is a meet-and-greet service only, as the public have no access to the car park, which has 24 hour security. The company operates out of the 'Drop-off zone' which is adjacent to the terminal building, and from there the cars are
taken around 6 miles to the car park. All drivers are uniformed and there is no minimum parking period.
