Description
This hotel is in Port Erin, situated between the Southern hills of the Isle of Man and is an ideal base with easy access from which to explore the rest of the Island. It is just 10 minutes by car from the airport and 20 minutes from the bright lights of the capital Douglas. The Hotel is located on the upper promenade overlooking the beautiful bay and sandy beach.
All bedrooms are en-suite with hospitality tray, television, direct dial telephone, hair dryer, iron & ironing board. Sea Views, family and disabled friendly rooms are available - please enquire. A welcome pack is provided in each room giving information on the hotel facilities, Port Erin Village, local history and Island attractions.
The Restaurant serves full Manx breakfasts including the world famous Manx Kippers. Optional five course table d'hôte evening dinners are available and less expensive when booked in advance as part of your booking. There is a Vegetarian Choice every day and special diets are catered for (please notify reservations when making your booking). Thursday nights have a special 'Manx Night' theme featuring some of the local Manx specialities.
The Reception Desk is situated at the hotel lobby just inside the main entrance. Behind this is the Reservations Office. There is a carousel in the seating area with information on local attractions/places of interest and a public payphone and vending machine are also available.
The Hotel is an Edwardian building with a fine frontage standing on the upper promenade in Port Erin village. There are some steps to the main entrance of the building but there is also a side door with level access from street level. Plentiful free on street parking is available at the front and side of the hotel and there is also a private car park available for the use of hotel residents.
The Hotel features a regular free evening entertainment programme including shows such as Band or Choral Concerts, Cabaret Artists, Country and Western and a special Manx Folk Cabaret. There is a Fitness Room, table tennis and a pool table available on site. Discounted golf and tennis are also provided nearby for the benefit of hotel guests. (03/07IT)
